Learning how celebs invest is fun ... and motivational!
An intriguing look at the finances of those who intrigue us!Jean Sherman Chatzky has done an awesome job of combining the glamor of high finance with valuable lessons that hit down home. This book interviews about two dozen of the Rich and Famous -- athletes like Dennis Rodman and Mike Ditka, celebrities like Matt Lauer and Ivana Trump and Helen Gurley Brown, Wall Street wizzes like Charles Schwab and Bear Stearns' Ace Greenberg -- and provides an in-depth look at their investments and financial strategies. The book seems to uncover humorous stories from most, and interesting anecdotes from all. The book has a wonderful collection of stars from all arenas; it's the first book I've seen with so much dirt on celebrity money.
Each chapter provides valuable advice that you can apply to your own finances, even if your numbers pale by comparison. I was spellbound by this book, which is basically a fun-to-read how-to guide.
A unique book covering a universal favorite: fame and fortune.

Common-Sense Guidance Just in Time!strategic account program for our largest
customers last year, but I just learned
from this book that it's actually a key
account program in disguise.
Now we can use the authors' common-sense
guidance to focus on the customers who
truly have strategic potential, align our
entire company behind the initiative instead
of just the sales force, and set up an
account manager development program that
really works. Great job!

FOLLOW SHERMAN's FLOCK -- THERE's NO PLACE LIKE HOMESherman would endorse that sentiment as he lies under his favorite apple tree.
A delightful book! Perfect for grade twos !

I have already reviewed this title! Why it does not appear?
The Best comic strip since Calvin&Hobbes.Actually this book is a collection wich contains strips of other books and some wich are'nt included on the previous one's. If you enjoy this one go for the rest as I did (Quite the Sherman's approach to life mind...).
INNOVATIVE/BRILLIANT.

The Sherman Tank Bible.
The standard reference on the M4 Sherman medium tankThere are extremely detailed specifications of the M3 and M4, all marks and many of the variants like the M7 and M10. You will also find the specs on most weapons employed on the M3, M4 and variants.
If you are interrested in the technical development and production of the M3 and M4 tanks, this book is a must. Well written with 100s of b/w illustrations it is, despite the price, great value.

A great book of all times in wrestling steers! How long does it take for a cowboy to rope and tie a steer!
What does it mean when a cowboy does a holigan!
Are there many women steer ropes!
You can always find out in the book.
The steer roping stars in this book were Guy Allen, Ote Berry, Mabel Strickland a few women steer ropers and Arnold Felts.
Homer Pettigrew was a steer wrestling star.
This picture in the book steer wrestling of steer wrestling stars had a picture and the words said about the picture that Mike Smiths work would not be done until the steer fell on its side.
This book reminds me of The Hal Lenord Mandolin Method book by Author Rich DelGrosso.
Wrestling SteersThe cowboy jumps off his horse, grabs the horns and wrestles it down and it is a rodeo event.

A perfect place to start! The author divides the book into a section devoted to the 50 women who have defined rock and roll, with a short essay on each, and a recommended discography. I like the selection much better than some books (including the truly disappointing Rolling Stone Book of Women in Rock). He doesn't include ALL the artists I consider essential, but that's a personal matter. I think he did a very good job, with a range from the obvious choices like Joan Jett and Tina Turner to more obscure but important artists like Lita Ford and Suzi Quatro.
He includes several appendixes with info on all-girl bands, all-girl groups (singers as opposed to instrumentalists) and spotlights on frontwomen of renown, ranging from superstars like Stevie Nicks to the cult heroines like Christina Amphlett and Doro Pesch.
This is a book to give people who don't know much about the subject, or to throw at people who say "women can't rock."
It's not a historical survey (though the author recommends several books, including the one I think of as the definitive volume, Gillian G. Gaar's "She's a Rebel"), but it's a very good basic reference volume.
